Early Life and Background
Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, was born on October 31, 1986, in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria. He grew up in a music-loving family and was actively involved in his local church choir, where he developed his vocal strength and stage presence.
Iyanya attended the University of Calabar, where he studied Business Management. While in school, he performed at local bars and events, drawing inspiration from global artists like R. Kelly and Nigerian music icons.
