Early Life and Background

Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face Idibia, was born on September 18, 1975, in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He hails from Benue State, belonging to the Idoma ethnic group. From a young age, 2Baba was drawn to music, performing at school events and local shows.

He studied briefly at the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT), Enugu, where he began writing songs and performing under the stage name 2Face, later changing it to 2Baba in 2016 to reflect maturity and growth.

Musical Journey and Breakthrough

2Baba’s music career took off in the late 1990s as a member of the legendary Nigerian music group Plantashun Boiz, alongside Blackface and Faze. The group released successful albums before disbanding, after which 2Baba launched his solo career.
