Fuayefika Maxwell, known by his stage name Wizard Chan, hails from Okrika in Rivers State, Nigeria, and was born on June 26. The youngest of five children, he was raised in Port Harcourt, where his family-owned a cassette store—a key influence in fostering his early musical curiosity .
He completed his secondary education at De World International Secondary School, after which he studied Marketing at Wisconsin International University College in Accra, Ghana. Upon returning to Nigeria, he fulfilled his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Sokoto .

Wizard Chan’s musical journey began with choir singing and recording his first unofficial track in December 2011. He would refine his craft over the years by posting covers and experimenting with sound .
