Kambua Manundu was born on 10 November 1986 in Nairobi, Kenya, the second of three children to Professor Manundu and Evangelist Lois Manundu of Tabibu Ministries . From a young age, she immersed herself in music, singing in school choirs and exploring her passion at Kianda Primary and Lukenya Academy .
Academic Training & Early Music Exposure
She sharpened her musical skills at Berklee College of Music (summer program, 2007) and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Ambrose University College in Calgary in 2008 . In April 2012, Kambua married Pastor Jackson Mathu in Nairobi . After several years, they were blessed with their first son, Nathaniel Muhoro Mathu, on 10 August 2019, a milestone she celebrated as a miracle . Tragically, her second-born, Malachi, passed away shortly after birth in 2021—a personal sorrow she shared with grace and transparency . In late 2022, she welcomed her daughter, Nathalie Nyacira Muthiga Mathu, marking a season of healing and redemption . In 2023, she disclosed that she had lost another child before Malachi, revealing a story of quiet grief and faith . Recently, in January 2024, she shared emotional reflections as her son Nathaniel began school—a poignant testament to restored joy .
