Early Life and Background
Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, popularly known as Khaid, was born on December 10, 2004, in Shibiri, Ojo area of Lagos State, Nigeria. He grew up in a humble background as the third child in a family of ten. Despite financial challenges, Khaid’s love for music shone through at an early age.
Before fame, he often freestyled on the streets of Lagos and posted short videos on Instagram and TikTok, which helped him build an online following. His raw talent and unique sound quickly caught the attention of industry insiders.
Musical Journey and Breakthrough
Khaid’s big break came in 2022 when Nigerian comedian and record label owner Sydney Talker discovered him. He became the first signed artist under Neville Records, Sydney Talker’s newly established label.
